Do you ever find yourself thinking too much about the past or the future? What was and what might be? You’re even… doing it at barre class? Yep. Guilty! This mindless chitter chatter, all it does, is steal from your present. Ain’t nobody got time for that!
That’s why it is so important to focus your attention and energy on exactly where you are and what you are doing right now. At the barre? Focus on the movement whether it’s pulses, plies or planking and remember that nothing and nobody “makes” you feel a certain way. It’s all about how you choose to interpret it and how you choose to feel or react.
Avoid wasting time and energy on regretting the workout you didn't do. Keep a positive mindset. Changes in your body occur through a series of small activities done consistently, so make going to class a habit. Time to stop thinking and start doing.
It is said that time is a thief that nobody catches, with that in mind, do something today that your future self will thank you for.
Get your butt to barre class and when you’re there, make sure your mind is too. As the present moment is really all we have.
