Penelope Shum

Uniquely adaptable, Penelope is a performer, choreographer, teacher, events coordinator when she's not teaching with us! She has a Dance Studies degree from the prestigious Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, and is a well-travelled and worldly dancer.

With more than 12 years' professional entertainment industry experience in Australia and abroad, Penelope has worked with artists and companies including Sean Paul, Nelly, Mya, Andre Fuentes, UNICEF, the AFL, and Vogue Australia.

Described by acclaimed hip hop icon Bboy PoeOne, Penelope is "a confident ... and dignified dancer and teacher determined to realise her goals (who) brings an energy that inspires others to believe that they too can reach their goals."

She's best known in class for her hip hop moves and attention to detail.

Outside the studio, she's a dancer, choreographer, teacher and also as a community leader in the dance space, hosting street dance and choreography workshops.
