Postnatal Mothers Group, hosted by midwife Georgie East.
10.30am-12.00pm Wednesdays | Aleenta Health Club Glenelg
Level 1, 77 Jetty Rd (enter on Waterloo St, head upstairs)
An intimate space, so you can settle into (and enjoy!) the new-baby season, with ongoing postnatal support and chats with holistic perinatal health & wellbeing specialists every session.
Whether it’s your first bub or you’ve been here before, Georgie’s warm and professional approach to helping parents connect with themselves, their babies and each other is the cocoon you need as you fill your cup.
Literally.
Mothers Group gets you a weekly free tea or coffee (winning!) made with love from The Annex.
“We nurture and support you as the mother, so you can care for your baby,” Georgie says.
“It’s a safe and supportive environment where you can test the waters – whether it’s breastfeeding, making a bottle, or dealing with a nappy explosion!
"This is a judgement-free space to explore matrescence and how to honour yourself through one of the biggest transitions of your life.”
Come & Connect.
The Nurture & Mindful Motherhood program has evolved to include guest speakers specialising in sleep, naturopathy & nutrition, yoga, Pilates, early childhood development, infant first aid, women's health physiotherapy, perinatal psychology, and more, since founder Christie Smith began holding mothers’ groups in 2018.
“We see many women underestimate how intense the fourth trimester and postnatal period are – and you can’t really know how you’ll respond until you’re in it,” says Christie, who's also a midwife.

"So we’re facilitating beautiful and meaningful experiences for you to bond with your baby and other mums as you grow your knowledge and confidence as a parent.
“That sense of connection & purpose reduces your risk of (and helps you recover from) postnatal depletion, anxiety and depression.”
