The Benefits of Pre-Natal Barre Workouts

The Benefits of Pre-Natal Barre Workouts - Aleenta BARRE

These are typical questions we receive about exercising from most mothers-to-be. Often mothers-to-be have a misconception about exercising during pregnancy.

Studies show that exercising while pregnant is extremely beneficial for both the mother and baby. In addition, if you love fitness pre-pregnancy, then the good news is you can maintain your fitness whilst pregnant. Pregnancy can be tough on mothers - the body is undergoing a lot of change (apart from growing a little human!) and can take a toll both mentally and physically. Exercising will help with pain and also with improving mood, and the quality of sleep.

Exercising can also potentially shorten the time in labour (where do we sign up?!).

Barre is the perfect exercise regime whilst Pregnant. It will energise and strengthen your body and will also assist in making a healthier recovery post birth - your pelvic floor included! It is perfect as much of the class is delivered standing. You will also focus on quad, thigh, gluteal, pelvic floor, and deep core toning and strengthening. It is vital for these muscle groups to be strong before, during and post pregnancy.

It is such a transformative time and barre will support you on this precious journey and beyond. Barre will energise and strengthen your body and tone your body in pregnancy. And will assist in making a healthier recovery post birth - your pelvic floor included!

Barre is a superior pregnancy exercise choice as much of the class is delivered standing. You will also focus on quad, thigh, gluteal, pelvic floor, and deep core toning and strengthening. It is vital for these muscle groups to be strong before,
during and post pregnancy.

Our Tenders will offer safe and effective alternative exercises for pregnant women (where required) -
make sure you let your Tender know you are pregnant and only do exercises you are comfortable with.

Always sit out the core section, at which time you should do extra stretching or it is highly recommended to do pelvic floor exercises - ask your Tender how!

Any questions, don't hesitate to shoot us an email at hello@aleentabarre.com and we will be happy to answer your questions before, during or post-pregnancy.
